Sodality was held this morning. 27 Feast of Christ The King. Sedalists received Holy Communion in a body at 7:30 Mass. High School students took part in the Procession of the Blessed Sacrament this afternoon. -NOVEMBER- 1 A11 Saint's Day. 2 Cheer-leaders for 1940-1941 were chosen today, by an all-school vote. Results were: Dolly De- Hnte, Jeanne La Vasseur, Betty Peterson, Vir- ginia Paiment, Jean Zak, and June McKinnon. 7 How about a lolly pop? Ahat You guessed it.The Senior girls put on a candy sale. Umm Umm: Ye Merrie Greggites came into existance today.The officers are: president-Genevieve Croteau; vice president--Dona1d McKinnon; aeoretary--Barbara Dufek; treasurer--Jean Lewandowski. 11 Armistice Day. lb attended an Armistice program at Ashland High this morning and also had one in our own auditorium. A beautiful an appropi- ate pantomime, The American Flag was given by Junior girls, directed by Sister Stilla. 15 Thanksgiving Dance was held this eveninglt A good time?--? Of course!!! Wb always have good times. 18 The speech club organized under the direction of Sister Stilla, and elected officers: presi- dent-Earl Ginglea; vice-president-Dorothy Soh- reinor; secretary-Jeanne thak; treasurer-Rob- ert Pinkowski. 19 Six weeks testszl Need more be said?? 20 Seniors held a Names Day Party for Sister Marie Cecile. 21-22 Thanksgiving Mm! Oh gee, do I HAVE to take Algebra? and similar complaints were heard. 4 First full day of school. Oopsl No, no Freshie you're in the wrong room. 207 is way down the other hall. What a day for the Freshies try- ing to get the number of the rooms straightened in their minds. 4 76 ,Lie1,2 , AgNM 4t 11 Elect on of chairmen and secretaries were held today in each home room for the respective com- mitties.There are eight committies:Eucharistio, Our Lady's, Social Life, Apostolic, Catholic- Truth, Publicity, Parish Loyalty, Catholic Stu- dent Mission Crusade. 15 Let's Get Together dance was held this even- ing, Courage Freshies: Jitterbug'n isn't as hard as it looks: Music was furnished by Hope Merry Makers. 17 Students enjoy their first assembly in the auv ditorium this afternoon. Father Alvin address- ed the entire student body. A movie was also shown on natural resources and travel means. 19 Belt: Come back here and go around! Say who is giving orders?!! Who? Oh: The monitors control, all traffic, namely: Robert Pinkowski, William Innes, John Anderson, Earl Ginglee, Lawrence Nemee, Benedict Pagan. -OCTOBER- 4 Free Day! St. Franoie--High Mass was sung by 500 students. 6 wasn't it beautiful! What? The Living Rosary, of course. It was held this evening at 8:00 in St. Agnes Church and 120 Sodalists took part. 10-11 Teacher's Convention? Ah: Two whole free days: What a relief:! Ah me! Life is sweet! 17 Thespiane present the play The Other Sheep , sponsored. by the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine. 23 Seniors vote for Sodality Officers. -DECEMBER- 5 Thespians present an Amateur Hour this morn- ing for the High Sch001 and this afternoon for the grades. It consisted of 5 one-act p1ays-- School of Rhythm , Gorilla , Who Gets The Car Tonite, Whether or Not , Slightly Exag- gerated. First home basketball game--Mellen-- boy did we give them a trimminglt 4 Retreat begins. Father Norbert, retreat mas- ter. 5 Mmm, mmmmmmm, mm tean't talk, retreatt Mmmmmmm. 6 Mm mmmm mm--High Mass at St. Agnes Church. 7 Freshmen elect officers. 8 Reception of 96 new members in the Sodality of Our Lady. The Reception Breakfast was arranged by the Social Life Committee for all the Sodal- ists. Thanks to the Senior Mothers in appreci- ation for the wonderful breakfast. 10 Everyone was present at the to 3:30. '0' 0 y 13 Another big game. We topped Hayward 28-15.---I told you! we certainly are warming up. 16 Big snow storm and no school. Boy, what luck. 17 Thespians Christmas Party came off this even- ing. A11 present had an enjoyable evening. 18 A P.T.A. Christmas Program was held this even- ing at the social hall. Thespians presented a contribution of three one-act plays. About 550 people were present. 20 Christmas parties were held in evary room this afternoon. Christmas vacation began at 3:30 on the dot. Thespians cheered up the patients in the Pure Air Sanitorium in Bayfield by giving 3 plays for them. 22 Another exciting basketball game--but we didn't win. Courage kiddies, this is just the beginn- ing. Just the beginning. 25 Merry Christmas.
