Once more Innes ruled As high-point man-- Thanks to our team came From many a fan. Whehburn at D.P.H. St. Valentines Day; we gained our revenge we sure did beat this time! The score was just 41 to 15 Thanks: Whehburnl The pleasure is mine. The D is for DEPADU -- The P is for her PEP-- The H is for her steady HEAD But thhburn forgot to watch her step. D.P.H. to Mellon Just a little 'cracker-box' we called the Mellen floor 25 to 22 th what we called the score. This happened on Feb. 18th. It gave us a scare-- Considering Mac's absence The playing was more than fair. D.P.H. to Bessemer Three days later we went to Bessemer Our twelfth win to try we lost it's good and true--25--32 Of course we didn't oryi Innes with 11 points Led our boys-- While many of our fans Led with the NOISE. Parkfalls at D.?.H. H1: Parkfalls, Glad you came, But we're glad also-you didn't win the game. It was on Feb. 25--18 to 28 It must have been skilled playing It couldn't have been Fate: D.P.H. to Cathedral Superior Cathedral beat us In the last game of the season-- They sure have a good team I guess, is our only reason. That was March 2nd., The score 36-23, Will we beat them next year? Certainly: Whit and see! 62

64 De Padua -- Ashland Game 1941 T'was the 15th of Jhnuary, I know you all remember, That held as much excitement, As the 25th of December. Let's go back again and view, The game that's for the books, And watch the teams both confident, Dribble--shoot--try hooks. The whistle sounds--the game is on, The tenseness issupreme, As Anderson tips the ball, To Innes, hear us scream. With steady hands they pass the ball, The team work and precision Is ourstanding in the game, But OH! there's a collision. You're right its a jump ball, And Ashland gets the tip, But Trush gets a free throw, A Purgolder tried to trip. Trush stands before the basket, And says a silent prayer, To our patron St. Anthonv. Not to forget he's there. He shoots and as it clears the net, The crowd gives out a shout, And now the game again proceeds, With De Padua's win enroute. Mo Auliffe intercepts a pass, And dribbles down to score, And all the gym is in a din, That's heard from top to floor. Ashland's planning-playing a nice game, Both teams are out to win. And the agressors sink a basket, Which gives our Team new vinn. The score is getting plenty close, As fourth period draws near, The buckets swish in left and right, Both teams have much to fear. Goose is at the free throw line, The foul is known as hacking, He shoots--it hits the rim--and in, Our team has nothin lacking. With closing minutes drawing near, The score is almost tie, Here Ashland gets a free throw, It's goodt 0H ME! OH MY!! A so-called over time is called, Three minutes more of fight, The Bruin's on the floor again, To show their mighty might.
