Tip-Ins D.P.H. at thefield On Nov. 29th, the De Pedua Bruins Played their first basketball game, The score, their 22 to our 17- 'Twns thefield who upheld her name. But you can't blame us For we had a reason, You see, it was The first game of the season. Mellen at D.?.H. Just four days elapsed and on Dec. 3rd. Mellen our power would try, we beat them, you'll see, 36-23 And De Padua her colors did fly. Stretch and Mac Led the attack- Not once through the game Did De Padua turn back. Hayward at D.P.H. A week and a half later, On Friday--December 13th. A Victory for the Bruins O ': : oi. V: t: $5311- Our 28 to Hayward '13. At the end the scoreboard read, We really won that game! De Padua students said. St. Ambrose at D.P.H. On December 22nd.-- Remember that date? An undefeated St. Ambrose team Boy! they sure do rate! well anyhow they -- beat us-- 23 and a mere 14-- The second loss to De Padua By players and fans was seen. D.P.H. at Park Falls Happy New Year a11--and Ten days went by, The Bruins traveled to Park Falls, This time her fame to try. The returns were 31 to Park Falls 22, Congratulations 1 Boys: we're glad that you came through! D.?.H. at A. H.S. 36-32! we won on overtime De Padua students proudly said, The teams played hard-the fans cheered loud And Capt. lanes with 19 point: his scoring team-mates led. Who'd we play? Why Ashland! Did we win? or course: And from that game on Jan 15th. Many fans went home quite hoarse. 60

Bessemer at D. P. H. Two days passed and Bessemer came to see us- The hopes of all were great; we won on overtime 31--29 Wes it best man wins or fete ? Goose with 12 points Led the scoring, And anyone can say the game Certainly wasn't boringl D.?.H. to Whehburn January let, the Bruins won Twenty-seven to eleven! The score at the half Wis seven and seven: Mac and Hawk Innes Led in raising the score But the best play of all? Joe's dive along the floor. DJVH. to St. Ambrose On Jan. 23rd. The Bruins took a ride To play St. Ambrose --Memorial Building Which was cold as ice inside. 26 -- 13 -- De Padua got beat-- But it was just our Third defeat: Superior at D.P.H. On January 26th Superior Cathedral came to town And the Bruins were for the 4th time In defeat let down. The score 27 To their 29, But due to an error, Innes was taken From the scoring line. D.P.H. to Hayward The Bruins went to Hayward 0n the last day of January, They played hard and fast-- To score, they didn't tarry- The score was rather close-- 26 to 23 And of course another win Filled us all with glee. A.H.S. to D.P.H. 0n the 5th of Feb.--eparked by Hugo The Bruins once again claimed the victory The crowd was intense! The playing was grand- The score was 27 to there 23. Once more Innes led By the Baskets he'd flip- This game gave De Padua City Championship!
