Prineipalgs Message As we, the faculty and administrators of De La Salle, reflect on the school year l976-77 we are pleased and proud of the progress, growth, dedication and con- cern which have been the distinguishing marks of so many of you graduating sen- iors. Each of you in your own way, with your own special talents, with your own degree of commitment has made an extra effort to contribute something of your- self to the De La Salle community. Young people are our hope. You carry within yourselves the potential to make crucial changes in our society. You carry within yourselves the potential to continue to re- build our country and construct new ideas for our people. We, as teachers, are proud of each of you and your accom- plishments this academic year. We realize your accomplishments are a reflection of yourselves and the extra effort you have brought forth in our school and communi- ty. We celebrate the progress that the entire community of De La Salle has ac- complished this year. We believe that the academic, athletic and activities pro- grams at De La Salle reflect clearly the ideal that we set as goals in a Christian Brothers' school. We believe that our schools should be characterized by a concern for each stu- dent. This concern encompasses the whole person: his family background, his temperament, his strong points, his special interests. Each student in our school is more than just another student who happens to attend De La Salle. We hope that our school will be a living com- munity where young people, coming from different backgrounds will educate one another by mutual understanding and re- spect, by acceptance of the uniqueness and limitations of each person, and by growth in the spirit of service and the practice of justice and charity. We believe that De La Salle does strive to provide the kind of atmosphere that can be conducive to the kind of com- ' A munity l've described. We at De La Salle firmly believe in you. You are our hope, our challengeg you are our brothers and sisters. With these thoughts we salute you graduating seniors and all you students. We believe it is important to acknowledge your accomplishments and to encourage you to become more and more faithful to your own potential to become loving and caring persons. The success of your to- morrows will be a reflection of the ideals and values you foster and nurture today, as students. God bless you all, Br. Robert Lee, FSC

Yearbook Staff A new enthusiastic yearbook staff was handpicked in an effort to rejuvenate what has become in recent years a tra- ditionally Weak yearbook. Striving to outdo all previous year- books, the staff Worked with fervor and dedication. Editors Mike Bruno and Steve Weston stimulated great school-Wide support of the book, including the large ad campaign. Newcomers to the school, Rich Grisius, Gerry Adams, and Carlos Martinez contributed greatly to the book's pro- duction, as Well as Paul Russell, Brian Hockel, Bob Moss, and Eric Sargeson. As the sun sets on yet another D. L.S. yearbook, the months of dedication begin to unfold. From the tireless Work of this staff emerged a quality yearbook.
