Basketball ar R' ' .-. 5 ' i 'fi---ff' T' , After sixty-six hours of M U marathon basketball, 170 weary but still enthusiastic players dribbled their way into the hearts of many generous people. This novel activity, held in honor of Mr. Balsdon's daughter Marie, netted 2, 500 dollars in pledges for the Cystic Fibrosis Ftmd. The inspiring display of an in- finite supply of energy and the smoothness of execution were both tributes to the tireless moderator, Br. Lawrence, as Well as to the DLS student body as a Whole. With this type of dedication next year's should prove to be even more success- ful. we--ff' This first annual Basketball Marathon was spearheaded by student body vice -president Matt Van Hoomison and was made possible by mass cooperation of over 350 DLS and CHS students.
