. Track Although the I. V. Track Team didn't repeat their superb performance as C.A.L. Champs, they did field an impressive team of durable compet- itors. Their third place finish doesn't reflect the tireless Work, determination and enthusiasm of this young team. Individual performances of freshman Ray Gallagher in the 100 yard dash and sophomore Don Pelletier in both the high hurldes and the 440. These con- tributions as well as a unified team effort made for a potentially great team. This type of involvement is sure to bring back to DLS the C.A.L. Championship in the near future.

Varsity Track The unfortunate reality of competition shook the reigning C.A. L. Champions from their self-imposed pedestal. Al- though a few of the individuals sparkled on their own, the team as a Whole never reached it's ultimate potential. Senior Paul Burke, junior Dan Devlin, Sopho- mores Brian and Bruce MacMahon, Dennis Burns and shot putter Mike Clark were all outstanding in their performances and hopefully will return to their competitive form next year. The shock of defeat Will, hopefully, stir the adrenalin of the entire team next year and again capture the C. A. L. Championship.
