DE LA SALLE I AM GLAD I WENT T0 BIG Dv I Went to De La Salle because I Wanted to. My father went here. My brother went here. My friends were coming here. I had to, mom made me. I wanted to play football. Where else could I go? The school is old-the spirit's lousy. It is hell getting here. The neighborhood should be hit with an H bomb. I hated some of my teachers, what dorks. Some of the kids were rat finks. Boring-stupid-jail-repetitious-inane-ridiculous. But you know- Some of these kids are the best I'll ever know. Athletically, Who's better? Murphy. Rebori. Capta. Scholastically, We are improving. Smith. Henderson. Myer. And who will ever forget Brother Jerome, Bede, Stan, Bar The change of teachers was hard on us. We didn't help. Those of us who will go to college have the knowhow. The Army will get men who will do the job. We're not perfect. Our school's not perfect-in many ways we must Rank at the bottom of a lot of lists. And somehow- Big D produces the kind of guy I,d like to live Next door to. Even marry my sister. I'm glad it's over. It seemed an con. just yesterday. I have become a man. I have become a Brothers boy. I'm glad I went to Big UD . lf
