Whadda ya mean you want an 'A'?!? De's teachers really deserve an A. They put in hours of hard work coming up with material to teach us, making tests, and most important correcting the zillions of homework papers assigned to us every period . They seem to never learn that if they gave us less work, they would have less correcting to do. However, this will never be reality. So we students learn to take it in stride and get it done. Six new teachers have been added to the faculty this year: Ms. Baribeau and Mr. Forliti enlighten the Religion Department. Mr. Drill and Ms. Sullivan bring new angles and complex molecules to the Math and Science Departments. Br. Henry has finally returned to De to teach Espanol and gives you the third degree if you are late. Shovel in hand, Mr. Johnson digs up the History Department and uses it to keep his students awake in English. THIS PAGE TOP: Now Bridget, I can't explain this, but I’m sure you know what I mean. BOTTOM: Yes, it's another one of Mr. Anderson's in depth lectures about what science can do to you and your ceilings, not to mention why 6x9 = 42. NEXT PAGE TOP: Yeah, I'm the new kid in town, got a problem with that? MIDDLE: Fine Health example you're setting there Ms. Peterson. Support Us They Do! Br. Kevin Butchor James E. DoZellar Mary Palmborg Campus Ministry Development Librarian Liturgy Committee Fran Roby Guidance Counseling Sr. College Planning Pam Zajac Development What else can be said about the support staff here at De, beside the fact that we couldn't get along without them? They may not always be visible to us, but many students depend on the support staff for help in a variety of areas. One major limb of the support staff resides in the Development Office. It functions with the aid of Mr. James DeZellar, new to De La Salle this year, and Pam Zajac. In Mr. Fran Roby's counseling office the final plans for the Senior's futures after De came into view. He assisted in college or career choices for what they wanted to do for the rest of their life. Brother Kevin Butcher, also new to De. ran Campus Ministry and the Liturgy Committee. He planned, with the help of De” students, the masses and retreats for DLS students. Mrs. Mary Palmborg ran the library, helping students find books for long English papers and torturing teachers who forgot to return video equipment. p.8: Cooking up the Islander version of Strange Brew p.9: top: Brother Kevin wonders if our photographer is in need of serious help, middle: Oh, no, I broke a nail! bottom: When is my helper coming? 8 Support Services
