A New Spirit Homecoming week wos filled with most of the usuol but there were new ideas, gomes ond most impor-rontly. SPIRIT! There's olwoys some people who don't get into the spirit, but this yeor there seemed to be fewer of those people ond o majority of fun, rowdy, ond spirited Islanders. A survey token proved this. When osked the question whot did you like most about homecoming week? the Freshmen generally answered, dressing up like you never would on o normol doy. The Sophomores onswered The organization wos o lot better thon lost yeor. The Juniors said It seemed people were enjoying it more thon years before, thus increasing the spirit oil oround. And most of the Seniors felt it wos better thon before ond were glod they hod o good homecoming, their lost yeor in school. Everyone felt thot although the football teom lost, the spirit mode the week o success. 14 Homecoming
