FOOTBALL “80” The DeLaSalle varsity team used Pepsi pep when they beat St. Bernards in an exciting game. The score was DLS, 10; St. Bernards, 0. Coach Jim Ness was pleased with the varsity season. He felt the players were competitive, stuck with it. and hit hard. Next year looks hopeful with plenty of players fighting for varsity positions. However, they are losing many players including captains Rob Jacob, Dan Kaiser, and A1 Romportl, along with seniors Steve Delehanty, Pete Dotray, Dennis Mruz, Dale Hardy, and Jay La-Chapelle. Front, left to right, captains Dan Kaiser and A1 Romportl. Rear, 1. to r. Assistant Coach Steve Gothman, captain Rob Jacob, and Head Coach Jim Ness.
