CC Runners are No Dreamers De La Salle's Cross-Country team turned the dream of most high school athletes into a reality this year by making it to State. They predicted that they would go after only a few meets and sizing up the compeition. People may have thought they were dreaming, but they made it and tied for 8th place. Determination was the key throughout the year, and every meet was a display of speed and energy, from start to finish. Above: Kevin McKenna shows off his physique, along with the first place trophy from the De La Salle Invitational. Tired though he is, Mike O'Neill looks a bit worried about the outcome of the race. Right: Pat Osgood, De's 1 runner in the State Meet, heads for the finish line. Since he is only a sophomore, other runners will be hearing his name for a couple of years. 18 CC statistician Mary Johnson didn't need a major in Math. The team kept the scores low.
