Speech men confer. L to R: I). Torgerson, A. Cleland, Brother L. Ashton, D. Anderson, P. O'Laughlin. This year’s Speech Club, under the direction of Brother Leonard Ashton, has blossomed into a very enthusiastic group. Composed largely of underclassmen, the team nevertheless showed great ability and even greater potential as its members participated in the American Legion, the Catholic State, and the National Forensic League speech tournaments. The team’s versatility was shown by the fact that it had at least one entrant in each of the various speech divisions: Original and non-original oratory, dramatic, humorous, and extemporaneous. Much time and effort were contributed by the members; the result was a most encouraging performance during the year. STANDING L. to R: R. Prindle, A. Cleland, R. Loeffler, R. Anderson.
