Brother Terence (Noble-hearted Gladiator) is the advisor of 121 (The Warriors). He was voted the most well liked teacher by the senior class; and our favorite teacher’s concern for each senior has earned him this title. Brother’s simplicity of spirit and his faith in people has done much to influence these with whom he has had dealings. His cxul ercnce of spirit is contagious, as any of his students and friends will admit. Brother Terence's physics classes, although confusing at times because of the subject matter, have been both enjoyable and enlightening. His students’ favorite quotation comes from Macbeth: “Throw physic to the dogs. I'll none of BROTHER J. EDWARD, F.S.C. Brother Edward (Old Clicker, as he is affectionately called by his pupils) is a Brother of exceptional talents. Not only is he a religion and typing teacher, but also head of our very successful athletic department. Thus he is deserving of a great deal of credit as the man behind the scenes. (His vast storehouse of practical knowledge makes his religion classes active and interesting.) In typing he represents law, order, and discipline. Brother Edward is interested not only in the mental growth of his students but also in their physical well being. FRANK MARONEY One of De La Salle’s most amiable sociology teachers is Mr. Frank Maroney. He is a veteran of 32 years in the teaching profession. Seven of the years he has spent here at De, where the students have grown to anticipate his smiling face. This well informed man received his B.S. degree at Mankato State and did graduate work at the University of Minnesota. He admires the seniors for their independence and their mature behavior. His insistence on proper class conduct gained him the respect of his students. Mr. Maroney has a colorful career as a teacher and coach. The seniors hold fond memories of his hard-hitting control of their freshman intramurals.

PAUL S. GRAF Since 1952, Mr. Paul Grafs Hudson Wasp has been flying between his home and De La Salle. His classes of Problems of Democracy and Business Law are enlivened with mundane insight into human motives and actions. Being dexterous with puns, Mr. Graf often surprises his classes with clever levity. Mr. Grafs wealth of experience provides much of the class material as well as the text and outside sources. He makes an honest effort to present the students with a view point other than that received from the local press. Because of his experience and sense of duty, Mr. Graf is an invaluable asset to De La Salle. His altruistic nature makes him one of the irreplaceable among De's faculty. DONALD DU BOIS An apple a (lay keeps the poor work card away. This ancient 1962 philosophy has aided Mr. Donald du Bois in securing an unprecedented lead in the teacher health polls. Favorite topics Mr. du Bois emphasizes include his pet theme (next to his students) the Jesuits, Longfellow's propaganda and also Mr. Dwight Eisenhower. Currently teaching junior religion and senior English, he strives to prepare his pupils “to rejoin the human race. He is the proud father of a five year old son. Jim, whose profound knowledge of the idiot box and the alphabet stimulate his students to conquer the harsh facts of life. BROTHER J. OLIVER. F.S.C. One of the more illustrious members of the faculty at De La Salle is Brother Oliver. He is well known for excellent photography, ironical comments and for running a unique lost and found service. Although generally eas going. Brother can xisv quite a problem to an unluckly student who has come to the lxiokstore window to make a small purchase with folding money. Many of us will remember Brother Oliver sitting majestically at his desk in the front of the room (with ironclad control of the students, of course) and should anything go wrong, he would right it with his simple comment. That’s not good.”
