BROTHER K. FRANCIS Religion I, English I Debate, Fly Basketball Freshman Baseball Freshman 21C L. Rousseau counts the intakes as Bro. Francis discusses plans to overtake the other rooms with P. Lazar. Class Officers: President—Peter Lazar, Vice President —Tim Johnson, Secretary—John Connelly, Treasurer —Paul Krosselt, Sgt.-at-Arms—David Taylor. Freshman 21C was near the top in the Freshman Department in nearly all respects. In intramural basketball they placed second. In volleyball they placed fourth. The room took top honors in the Happy Hour, an athletic event for all Frosh advisories. In the Magazine Drive they were in the fight for first place among the Frosh. For two days of the drive they held down first place. Second place in the Christmas Card Drive went to 21C as they again ranked among the elite of their department. This has been a profitable year for all. L. to R. 1st row: M. Gillis, G. Pauly, J. Mick us, E. Roy, J. Smith. B. Ryan, L. Rousseau, P. Krosselt. 2nd row: J. Matula, J. Balluff, R. Mangan, L. Larson, T. Rouen, R. Leitchuh, P. Witherow, R. Cleary', R. McPherson. 3rd row: D. Taylor, T. McCool, S. Kapala, D. Locke, F. Halek, J. Connelly, P. Lazar, D. Farnkes. 4th row: G. Gice, D. Yon, S. BROTHER FIDELIS Religion I, English I Glee Club Freshman 20C Bro. Fidelis reads to D. Kurimay, M. Ness, and T. Leonard. Class Officers: President—David Kurimay, Vice President—Thomas Leonard, Secretary—Michael Ness, Treasurer—Michael Christian, Sgt.-at-Arms—Dick Mulloy. Room 20C is a room of many contrasts. We boast an occasional student with a full complement of athletes. We are all proud of our intramural record. One event that we recall vividly is the game we played with the Brothers defending our volleyball prowess. Our participation in the magazine drive is also a fond memory. We turned in over 175% of our quota. The homeroom response was tremendous as usual. In all our endeavors we try to do our very best. We firmly believe in the opinion of our advisor: The home room that tries to do the best docs its best. L. to R. 1st row: J. Vargo, R. Ahrens, J. Schuler, G. Osgood, D. Blassingham, J. Hall, E. Casey, R. Florey. 2nd row: J. St. Anthony, T. Leonard, W. Quinn, J. Sheridan, J. Knauff, G. Thompson, D. Eichenger, T. McG ruder. 3rd row: L. Gomer, J. Gamble, D. Mulloy, M. Ness, M. Christian, D. Kurimay, T. Bred emus, G. Salisbury. 4th row: D. Krom, B. Buckvold, R. Sorensen, J. DeMars, D. Richard, J. Herbert, J. Roban, J. Higgens. 19

L. to R. 1st row: W. Clark, T. Nelson, G. McDonald, C. Knoblauch, D. Fedor, R. Carlson, R. Barrett, T. Mor gal. 2nd row: B. Dinner, C. Damberger, C. Jorgensen, R. Springer. P. Frawley, J. Bind. D. Draper, P. Kelly. Class Officers: President—Toni Morgal, Vice President —Pat Frawley, Secretary—Sherman Otto. Treasurer— Kevin Lynch, Sgt.-at-Arms—Brcndon Rathman. The “go getters” from 22C have a monopoly on athletes. This lively group of young men proved their prowess in both intramural and extra-curricular athletics. Eleven other frosh advisories tried in vain to beat 22C’s spirited volleyball team. Through their deft skill, the go getters won the 1959 volleyball championship. 3rd row: D. Berseutek, H. Cope, L. Johnson, M. Griudl, K. Lynch. W. McQuiston, S. Born. 4th row: S. Otto, D. Pamerleau, T. Cameron, L. Lapitz, L. Mtdler, T. Seep, J. Himmel, B. Rathman. Their splendid reputation as the muscle men of 22C carried over into the activities. During the first semester, this room contributed eleven athletes who qualified for letters. Proficiency in sports is only part of the total picture. These well rounded scholars arc famous for their school spirit as was proven in the Christmas Card Drive. In the academic realm, they boast many a fine English student. Finally, their generous mission collections prove the go getters are serious mature young men possessing a proper sense of values. Mr. du Bois discusses the value of marks with T. Seep and T. Nelson. MR. DONAI.D DU BOIS Latin I Freshman 22C 21
