Brother Norbert and Brother Martin, Every large, successful organization has members who possess a winning spirit, give quick cooperation, and show energetic leadership. It is also true that there are other members who have to be prodded because of lack of interest. For the group to be successful, the people who have the Final say must hove the first three qualities in abundance. De La Salle is no exception to this rule. During our junior and senior years on the Island, we have all been influenced in some manner by the leaders of our organization, Brother Norbert, Director, ond Brother Martin, Principal of the Island School. These men have done everything possible to keep the reputation of De La Salle at its peak.

HOCKEY THIS YEAR brought some of the De La Salle athletes outside. Under the supervision of Brother Felix and Coach Medved, an exceptional rink was built and kept flooded. This crisp scene shows the ruggedness of a sport that has taken over Minnesota. Hockey was also well accepted at DE, and a successful season indicates that the school will continue the sport at a major level during the coming years.

ymbols of Leadership The theme of this book is teamwork. Each section tries to illustrate that khe successes and proud moments which come to us are only a result of [coordinated work. Nothing could be done without the help of the front joffice, as nothing could be done with dissension in the ranks. In this sense Brothers Norbert and Martin have never failed to avert any unnecessary hardships on the students. Kindness has been the byword tin these last two years of high school. Therefore, it is with a deep sense of admiration and thankfulness, that the Senior Class proudly dedicates the 1958 DELTA to Brothers Norbert and Martin, a'coordinated team and symbols of leadership
