The book which you now hold in your hands is largely the result of the labor of the men pictured on this page. We have tried to present a yearbook that is a worthy product of our school and one which will be a storehouse of memories for you in the years to come. Whether or not we have succeeded you can now judge. Among the boys who worked on the yearbook, special notes of thanks are due to Declan Haun for much of the photography and to Vincent Weldon for much of the art contained in this book. Pat Robison and Tony Loccrichio worked on the layouts for the sport section. Bill Grief, Bob Mayer and Ron Linsley spent many hours working on the senior and underclassmen pages. The faculty and activities pages are largely the work of AlbertSchaller and Roger Schoenherr respectively. Many of the write ups in this year's Pilot came from the pens of Co-editors Jerry Nowaczewski and Bill Kubicz. The dedication page and the division pages are the work of Richard Dickman and Leroy Rebar. Bill Kubicz, Ron Linsley, and Ray Kurzeniec helped organize the sponsor section. Last but not least we owe a debt of gratitude to Bill Wilk and his very hard working business staff, Ray Kurzeniec, Frank Cannestra, Don Sabbe and Bill Drum- mond. Without their efforts we would not havea yearbook today. John, its moderator, The Co-Pilot grew into a first rate high school newspaper during the past year. Beginning in October and on the fifteenth of each month thereafter, a very attractive issue with an original head- ing and well planned format came off the presses. These external features only served to set forth the very timely and interesting news articles, editorials and guidance bulletins contained therein. From its pages we learned of the latest administrative policies, of the accomplish- ments of our athletic teams, of the doings of our Fathers' Club, Alumni Society and the other varied groups in our unity of purpose into all the various activities of our school. After seeing each issue we gained a greater sense of pride in our school and all that it was ac- complishing, religiously, scholastically, socially, and athletically for our benefit. With the November issue, The De La Salle Alumni News merged with The Co-Pilot. This merger gave our alumni a chance to learn what we were doing back at De La Salle and us a chance to learn how they were doing in the world beyond. The merger was beneficial to all of us. Congratulations to the staff who worked so hard to school. make this paper grow so much during the past year. The Co-Pilot has become a great force for bringing 360 Calidf Siu!!
