Composed of fathers of De La Salle Students, the organization endeavors to give dads a better understanding of their son's problems and to bring both sons and dads into closer relations with the teachers. For this purpose monthly meetings are held at which fathers have an opportunity to hear various authorities discuss the problems of youth in general and to speak with teachers about the problems of their sons in particular. The Fathers' Club has also been most generous in helping improve the school plant. The recent remodeling of the cafeteria, the lights on the football field, the new equipment in the physics lab, the new I.B.M. Clock System and the new lights in the library are all their projects. Right now the Dads' Club is raising funds to buy two badly needed school buses. Not only individually but as a group, the students of De La Salle owe a lot to their fathers. 'UQMRFSRQ1 s 1569 In these, our moments of joy, the Star of Faith has shown us the true meaning of splendor in activities. It has taught us that real pleasure must result from happiness which can only come when the heart is cleang that we reach the heights only when we understand our fellow man and see in him the image of the Redeemer. It is our constant hope that the activities we participated in at De La Salle Collegiate have fitted us for a finer tomorrow, -a tomorrow that will enable us to conduct ourselves graciously as men worthy of our alma mater .
