' Y' Ao, 4 fy f Each year during the three days before Thanksgiving the under- classmen are privileged to enjoy a spiritual retreat. For these three days classes are suspended and we give our time wholly to the worship of God and the care of our souls. This past November, Reverend Father Fidelis Benedic of the Passionist Order conducted the retreat. We will never forget the dynamic, forceful retreat sermons Father preached to us. His practical instructions in Christian living were a help to many who during the past year had perhaps slipped a little in the conduct of their daily lives. That the retreat was a spiritual success was evidenced by the long lines of students approaching the altar rail to receive Our Lord on the final day. 67-

ja fker ana! Son ommunion ag On Sunday, March 6, 1955, the students of De La Salle and their dads received Communion as a group at St. Bonaventure Monestary Church. In this way they demonstrated their faith in the Eucharistic Presence of Our Blessed Lord and their willingness to share with one another the intimate delights of His Divine Heart. The monestary church was filled to capacity and the sight of so many fathers leading their teen- age sons to the altar of God was indeed edifying. The 'tPilot here presents scenes of this Father and Son Communion and the brealdast that followed it.
