A back injury hospitalized Mrs. Van Leeuwen and her place was taken by Mrs. Caroline Morris, wife of boys' P. E. teacher, and herself a former De Anza P. E. teacher qmaiden name Andersonj. Then Mrs. Yount left and Mrs. Morris came back. To take Mrs. Morris' place, Mrs. Harris fbelow on pyramidj came and left again. Music H05 af Busg Yewv Mr. Robert Kanthack has been teaching here at De Anza for two years. Mr. Kanthack's Band and Qrchestra performed admirably at the Christmas Program, Spring Program, and other assemblies. The Band and Orchestra also performed at various elementary schools throughout the district. This year was Mr. Johnson's first at De Anza. Mr, johnson taught science and was supervisor of the lunchroom during both lunch periods. Mr. John- son got to sleep late on the regular schedule as he only taught half the day. However, flip-flop kept him awake.

Rick Thomas, our S. R. O. on campus, pictured far right, has rap ses- sions with the different groups of students, pictured left below. As usual Mr Morris and Mr. Darling along with Mr. Stout, sponsored the Lancers. This year's Lancers successfully organized several sports days for the boys. Last year's yearbook was dedicated to Mr. Morris so you can tell that De Anza kids really like him. Once again Mr. Darling was here at the gym weekly during the V, Y, B, A, season. 43-.
