The commissioners sponsored it because there was no Social Committee at that time. It started at 2:15 to 4:00. The party started off with a relay race, where everyone on a team had a toothpick in his mouth and passed a lifesaver from person to person with the toothpicks. After the relay race they had a coke and an ice cream sandwich. Then they had the rest of the time to dance and play ping pong.
