Mrs. Brantner, this year, worked with the spe- cial class here in the afternoon. Upon resignation of a teacher over at El Camino she took the job as special teacher there. Mr. Whittaker taught the Mentally Handicapped this year. At the end of the first semester it was discontinued because of lack of funds, and he took over for Mrs. Brantner. This year Mrs. Winsor taught Remedial Reading and Spanish. Mrs. Winsor has been teaching at De Anza for twelve years. Mrs. Bowen has been teaching the educationally handicapped for three years here at De Anza. She got her teaching degree at UCLA: To the left top, is Mrs. Lofthus's guitar class. Introduced last year for the first time in our school district, the class has been a suc- cess. Students in this class furnish their own guitars and learn to read music.
