c f±±Litant ufisziniEnd nt Mr. Leon Miles is the assistant superintendent of the schools. This is his third year in that field. He, like Mr. Jordon, attended Monticello for his BSE. However, for his Med, Mr. Miles attended UCA and for his Ed Sp attended the University of Arkansas. Above: Mr. Miles looks up from his paper work for a picture. Left: Mr. Jordon and Mr. Miles work well together. Besides working along side of Mr. Jordon. Mr. Miles has other duties. He looks into federal aid, assists with attend- ance records, and does various other jobs. Yet even with his hectic schedule, he finds time to make occasional visits and inspections at high school. Mr. Miles and Mr. Jordon are behind the future plans of our school. They work continually to find ways to improve our schools. They were challenged back at the beginning of the school year to make the North Central Evaluation a success, which they did. It is their goal to make our DeWitt schools the best in the state. 29

Mr. Jack Jordon entered his sixth year as superintendent for the DeWitt school system this year. Previously, he and his family resided in Star City where he was superintendent for seven years. He has a BSE which he attained from the Univer- sity of Arkansas at Monticello. He also has a Med and an Ed Sp. both attained at the University of Arkansas. Mr. Jordon's job is to organize our education so that each student will receive the best possible education. He knows his occupation well and his experi- ence is a great asset. Anyone can see that, for at DHS it is possible to branch out into many fields that hold possible interest. SufiEZLnt ncl nt The Jordons always find time out of their busy schedules to attend the Jr.-Sr. Banquet. Paper work always keeps Mr. Jordon busy. Besides being the superintendent, Mr. Jordon is also a family man. His wife, Patsy, is the DMS librarian. They have two daughters. Melodie and Leslie. Mel- odie is a student at ASU and Leslie is a DHS freshman. 28
