F1112 Sveninr 0112155 Eehira1ir5 Ihi5 3155119 Zin Cgratiiuhr :mil 3Hrivnh5hip in Hrinripal A. HH. Gllark flln Uithcr Vineyards CA BIESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPALD AN OTHER term has drawn to a close and another large group is about to leave Clinton to labor in other vineyards and eventually to harvest such other crops as they may in larger and, it may be, in more fertile fields. We have taught you some small Latin, perhaps, or possibly something in Mathematics. We hope that you will not, but probably you will, soon forget much of what you have learned here. Vlle who remain with the school will be content if We have imbued in you the Clinton spirit-if for the rest of your lives you will but stand before the eyes of others and in your own self- respect, a Clinton man. We hope that here you have attained high standards of scholarship. We hope that you have learned that if a job is to be done at all, it is to be done thoroughly. Life has no place for slipshod work. Give your best to everything that you do. Finish whatever yon start. We hope that you will continue to be a good citizen, one who will gradually win the respect of your neighbors for your line character, your integrity, your usefulness, your spirit of service, your splendid manhood. VVe hope also that here in Clinton you have learned the meaning and the value of good sportsmanship. Play the game hard, but play it clean. lVhen the knocks and bruises come, as come they will, take them with a courageous grin and without a whimper. And in playing this great game called life, use your head. And now to each of you our best wishes for a long, a prosperous, a happy, and a useful life.
