Musical Sound of Music Fills Auditorium The famous story of The Sound of Music was portrayed by students as this year's musical. The cast played to full houses for the Friday and Saturday night shows, and re- ceived standing ovations for all evening per- formances. lVlrs. Martha Pownall and Mr. Robert Baggs served as co-directors. Sister St. Marks, a substitute teacher, aided the production im- mensely by obtaining black robes for members of the choir who portrayed nuns. Sister St. Marks made other parts of the habits and headdresses. To fill the roles of the younger children of the Trapp family, it was necessary to enlist the aid of Pauline Koinas, a ten year old from St. Mary's grade school, and Chris Erd, a kindergartener at McKinley. Audiences en- joyed their performances greatly.
