Commissioners Election Procedure Causes Controversy Commissioners of the Activities Board plan- ned and carried out varied projects for the student body. Among these were the magazine drive, assemblies, Intramurals, Club Day, and the activities during DeViIbiss Week. Students disputed the fairness of elections held by the Welfare Commission for members of the Homecoming court. lt was claimed that students who carried ballots from their home- rooms to room 122 were tampering with them. As a result, in subsequent elections, teachers were required to keep an accurate count of votes, and commission representatives picked up the tallies from each homeroom. ,cm I , wifi 'fg,,v:. fl V L i . ii, .3 1 'v lvl' 5 Above: Gale Close, Publicity, encourages the football team with spirit banners.
