Man Performances Draw Big Crowds Seventy-Six Trombonesufstiidents and facul- ty members whistled, hummedf and sang that tune all through the halls as the cast prepared for The Music Man . Since the first presentation took place at the end of exam week, one matinee was performed on Thursday, Ianuary 27, and a second on Sunday, Ianuary 31, something new for De- Vilbiss High School. Mrs. Martha Pownall directed the musical this year and Mr. Dan Kronfield was the conductor. For the first time, two girls shared the feminine lead: Bobbie Bean and Sue Hazard. Both played Marion the Librarian. The audience generously applauded Keith Vandivort's performance as Pro- fessor Harold Hill. Publicity and usher's maxi skirts featured patri- otic colors. The 1912 costumes reminded students of today's nostalgic styles. TOP: The Barbershop Quartet-Dan Vandivort, Bill Schultz, Ioe Gwinner, and Dave Britisch harmonize Lida Rose .
