Cheerleaders v. - , . X Sponsor Clinic Sixty-five grade school and high school stu- dents weathered cold and rain to attend a cheer- leading clinic at Page Stadium in September. Various members of the D.H.S. varsity squad taught cheers, jumps, tumbling, and a pornpom routine. The profit helped the cheerleaders pay for their new basketball uniforms. In Iune, the varsity cheerleaders attended Smith- Walbridge Camp which is one of many National Cheerleading Association Camps. In five out of five competitions the D.H.S. cheerleaders took first place. They also won the Spirit Stick by being the most spirited squad three times. Iunior varsity cheerleaders sold suckers while the Tigerettes sold cand to pay for their many expenses. They practiced, long hours after school to insure precision. The 'six-member I.V. squad attended a clinic at T.U. . UPPER LEFT: Cheerleaders toss their megaphones into the air for the starting kick-off at the Homecoming game.
