Commissioners Try Man Innovations Groups of students congregated constantly in front of the new graffiti board opposite 122, waiting their turn to write jokes, poems, insults, and to draw pictures. Wendy Hrahak-Publicity put up a new board weekly. Prospective members earned about DeVilbiss Clubs from the new club handbook prepared by Craig Lykins-Organiz- ations. Chris Scott-Awards and Ernie Worman- Finance felt disappointed because the magazine drive this year netted one-third less than last year. To save time, commissioners presented written reports, typed by Pattie Gring-Clerk of the Board instead of the usual oral report given at govern- ment meetings. Bob Nordoff-Athletics promoted an intramural Basketball tournament won by the Poon-tang Wildcats. Students interested in current topics bought manly various paperbacks on ecology, drugs, and blac history, added to the stock by Sue Reed- Social Service. Fred Dewey-Assemblies had the rare chance to plan the assembly honoring the DeVi1biss Cross Country State Championship Team. The team presented all their trophies to Mr. Cross and the school at the assembly. ABOVE: Fred Dewey files material on the bus levy in Room 122.
