Spirit Committee Holds Slave Sale Four committees and boards served DeVilbiss. They were the Spirit Committee, the Student- Faculty board, the Human Relations committee, and the Iudiciary board. Spirit Committee devoted their time to making signs and posters for football and basketball games. They also supported the mothers' bake- sale for the Schneider memorial by making signs to advertise it. Difficulties arose with the choosing of the Student-Faculty board. It was finally decided that the Executive board would interview prospective members. The faculty were late in selecting their representatives. This delayed the actions of the Student-Faculty board. Phil Kaufman, Human Relations advisor said, The purpose of the Human Relations committee is to promote better human relations by working together through contacts to promote justice. A newly formed board, the Judiciary board, consisted of five students. These students studied Robert's Rules of Order and were responsible for keeping order at Student Government meetings.
