D.H. . Revives arade Tradition Enthusiasm reached an all time high as the 2-day Homecoming celebration got under way with the assembly crowning Dee Dee Esser as homecoming queen. Crowds lined Marlow and Algonquin streets after school to see the first homecoming parade in 3 years. Various or- ganizations spent hours planning and develop- ing Mowing over Clover , and Surrender Central themes. Majorette mascots performed in costume with their high school counterparts, while the drill team made their half-time debut marching with the band. Tiffany lamps, bicycles and banners trans- formed the cafeteria into a ballroom filled with the magic of the gay 90,s,'. CfOl1ver', Rates vations Playing to full houses for all performances, Oliver broke records when it became the first musical at DeVilbiss to receive standing ova- tions. The Stagecraft and Lighting class con- tributed greatly to the success of the show by building an extraordinary set which included a revolving stage and platforms at various levels. Under the general direction of Mr. Thomas Bollin, and the musical direction of Mr. Robert Baggs and Mr. Dan Kronfield, over 200 students and faculty members organized, rehearsed, and performed the show in just seven weeks.
