Student Government Revamps Direction Response, Interest After the confusion of three elections, Sharon Heine emerged as President of the 1969-70 Stu- dent Council. This yearis main objective was replacing the negative student attitude toward Student Council with a positive one. A central concern arose involving the incomplete con- stitution functioning against a liberal student body. This resulted in the formation of a Con- stitutional Revision Committee Which realized in part the objectives of previous revisionary attempts. The committee met with jim Cook, Student Council President of Sylvania. They hoped to incorporate the ideas of the National Con- stitution by expanding on provisions in the existing constitution. Under its new title, Stu- dent Covernment consisted ofthe Student Body, as the governed, Student Congress, Judiciary and Administration. The February 11 meeting revealed 64 representatives in favor of the proposed constitution, 2 opposed.
