Change and enthusiasm characterized the l968 lDeVilbiss Homecoming. September 20, the first Homecoming Friday without a crown- ing assembly, found seniors demonstrating in the courts, students qfttending a make-shift assembly after fschoolfa-nd TADS cheering at the afternoon ffootballngame. The half-time activities of the game featured our marching band, cars and trucks fi decorated by school clubs and organizations, and the crowning of Marsha Covrett as queen. The excitement of the game's finale, in which Mel Gaines scored with just seven seconds remaining, and a Homecoming victory, carried through to Satur- day night's dance. Tiger Safari invited stu- dents into the tropical jungle of the cafeteria for an evening of hot excitment, curfew, and dancing under the stars. Senior Sorelles show their spirit by decorating the car of Carolyn Schmertz. Curfew Hamper This year's Homecoming court included Debbie Adams and Sue Figlarz. The band and cheerleaders await the arrival of the team. ,

Cheerleaders Call For T.D.'s, Victory, And Sportsmanship Sock it to 'em Tigers. Go! Go! The cheerleaders and Tigerettes aroused the fans at games and assemblies with their new shak- ers and nine new cheers. The girls appeared at all home games and a majority of away games. Their new adviser, Miss Romino, travelled with them and trained them during practices three times a week. Under the direction of Captain Marsha Covrett they sold Tiger Victory tags, programs, reinstated the pep club for basket- ball season, and decorated a bulletin board each month. Cheerleaders proclaim Tigers are great . Tigerettes: Gail Sinner, Robin DeVries, Patti Mostov, Nadine Adamson, and Cheryl Liber, cheered at wrestling matches. D.l-l,S. mascot surveys the game
