Karen Franklin, Publicity Commissioner, assembles the Peace Corp bulletin board outside l22. Kelegougan Claims DeVilbiss' Sister School Pennies for Peace Corps, raised by TADS, built a school in Kelegougan, Togo. The 51,000 collected during Peace Corps Week made possible this Student Council project. Monday's bakesale led the way to a Battle of the Bands on Friday with The Caretakers and Chairmen Mao's Peace Corps Band . Saturday featured an open in the girls' gym. The Togian School will receive S5850 of the money while the remaining money will be used in another project. The money goes to buy materials and the townspeople provide the labor to build the school. November ll-l5 was truly a week for being thankful. Peace Corps canisters were at each lunch line during the week. 1 The concert featuring the Caretakers, and the bakesale made S880 .ik

Student Council Activates Student Body Tiger Power buttons, seen while students were eating breakfast in the redecorated cafe- teria, delivering Santa's mail, and donating to the Peace Corps, expressed the pride and en- thusiasm of this year's Student Council. The Executive and Activities Boards sponsored these projects as well as Don Sharpe Day . Sure enough, that is what the Spirit Committee produced. Original Laugh ln skits were presented at all the basketball assemblies, In addition, the committee also presented skits for Donald Sharpe Day. As a group, they attended the Central football game, where they threw suckers to the fans. They painted signs en- couraging TADS to attend cross-country, track, and swim meets, as well as basketball and football games. To raise money for these signs, they held two bake sales, and sold Tiger Power buttons, Through this com- mittee spirited students organized and pro- moted enthusiasm and spirit in the entire student body.
