THOMAS A. DEVILBISS Thirty years ago the Thomas A. De- Vilbiss l-ligh School opened its doors and accepted the challenge of trying to instill knowledge and the desire for achievement in its students. The campus, tree bordered and impressive, and the physical plant, beautiful in the dignity of classical architecture, are looth virtually unchanged and still com- mand the pride and respect of every student. DeVilbiss as a school, though, has changed in countless ways, it has ex- perienced progress in every phase since its first days as a new and untried institution. As the administration, the faculty, and the students have striven first to achieve excellence and recog- nition, and then to maintain and sur- pass their own records, the DeVilbiss tradition has grown.
