Then on to higher duties. Here he is catching a last minute look at his books C?l. That evening lim takes time out tor a Forum meeting. The next day We see lim coming into school. Finally, While reflecting upon our yearbook theme, the St. Lawrence Seaway, he gazes into the mists of the harbor.

tiff' f F I if ttf tt? sv 5 r The great achievement that is the St. Lawrence Seaway required the work and ideas of many. But no matter what the goal is that we are trying to reach, the two indispensable ingredients are knowledge and imagination.. Know- ledge is understanding the steps for- ward made over the span of civiliza- tion. Behind knowledge stands a teacher. lmagination is the formation of ideas never before perceived in their entirety. Behind imagination stands inspiration. An undertaking so vast in scope as the Seaway, indeed, demanded edu- cated and creative minds. Gur teach- ers are dedicated to forming minds such as these. They provide us not only with learning but act as an in- spiration to achieve for ourselves. For in a world such as ours we will be call- ed on to aid in projects no less impor- tant than the Seaway. Our ability to meet this challenge depends on what we accomplish during our high school years. With as fine a faculty as we have there is no doubt that this period of preparation will reap a reward rich in realization and fulfillment. Ship passing through Eisenhower Lock.
