! 3 FRESHMEN Russell Brown, Advisor David Schnorf, President Ursula Schmit, Advisor Nancy Hood, Secretary Arthur Perlman, Vice President Carole Lundberg, Treasurer BEGIN THEIR GROWTH HGreen is For growth. With this thought in mind the energetic Class ol '55, in its First year, has set a rapid pace for the remainder ol its days at DeVilbiss. The class has pene- trated every aspect ol school lite vvith bubbling enthusism so typical of Freshmen. As early as the First quarter the 'Troshn gained recognition by capturing the lead on the l-lonor Roll and winning Libbey Scholarships. All agree that it vvas they vvho pushed the school over its Fifteen-thousand-dollar goal in the Magazine Drive. The class put its talents in Revelries and DeViltries and its athletes on the school's teams. Loyal specta- tors at lootball and baslcetball games, the Freshmen sparlced the cheering section. Under the excellent guidance ol their advisers, Miss Ursula Schmit and Mr, Russell Brovvn, the Freshmen got together with their Sophomore brothers and gave nine very successful Froshmore parties. The highlights oi every one ol these parties were the highly entertaining variety shows staged by members ol the tvvo classes. By the time the pot o' Gold is in the hands of its purchasers, these green Freshmen will be thoroughly initiated into the Ways ol the school and will be vvell on their vvay to recognition.
