OUR DEANS Dear Seniors, Graduation is the end of a chapter, a chapter enlivened by hard work, lasting friendships, long-remembered triumphs, and the inspiration and friendship of inspired teachers. Cin some cases, too, there have been extra pages seasoned by deans' summons, blue slips, and seventh hour classes.D Commencement is well named, for if graduation means the end of a period of life, commencement is the beginning of a glorious new chapter full of promise, high adventure, and new and ever- increasing opportunities for young men and women of vision, daring, character, and a capacity for hard work. To all who leave DeVilbiss High School to go into industry or military service, to enter college or to establish new homes, may this new chapter mean broader fields of service and even greater success and happiness.
