Faculty organizer of the Service Corps vvas lvlr. Raymond Lovvry, vvho felt the need ol a club by which students could serve their school more etiectively, and acted upon that need. We Feel that Mr. Lovvry should be given the credit due him lor starting us, through practice in high school, on the road tovvard active participation in our duties as citizens. Library Service. The purpose of the Corps is not en- tirely student discipline, however, as one group ol its members assist the deans in checking attendance, de- livering summons, and various other odd jobs. Among these smaller groups are the lvlonitors, those very etlicient people vvho rise from the ranks during assemblies to escort re- calcitrants from the auditorium. Also Offce Service. Tad and Todd ozvitsiss The Service Corps ol DeVilbiss l-ligh School vvas or- ganized in the autumn of 1940 so that those students vvishing to serve the school could unite their etlorts lor better results. Joint heads ol the group this year are Commissioner of Service, Bill Ford, and Commissioner Monitors. helping to maintain order at school atlairs are the guards. Appearing at football and basketball games and night relays, they check the tickets ol those in attendance and keep rovvdyism at a minimum. The student hall patrols stationed at each corner ol the building are also members ol the Service Corps. It is the duty of these patrols to check the permits of QQO1.
