our headmasfer MORISON BRIGHAM In 1951 the joy and satisfaction and the trials and tribulations of leading boys through six vitally important years of their lives fell upon the capable shoulders of Morison Brig- ham, our Headmaster. With the resources of his background experience he has engineered countless improvements for DeVeauxg some of these, to mention a few, are our completely modern fire detection system, the Memorial Gymnasium, the increase in the number of the faculty, and the construction of four faculty homes. An even more important advancement is the astronomical increase of the Honor Roll, as well as the contents of the athletic trophy case. In short, DeVeaux seems to have taken up the Pursuit of Excellence under Mr. Bingham's administration. iv and assistant headmasfer H. PROCT OR MARTIN In Mr. H. Proctor Martin-Assistant Head- master, school disciplinarian, Organist, Choirmas- ter, Latin teacher, and tennis coach-we have a man with little patience for time wasting, but with a great depth of understanding for boys. And such is his energy, that one could almost say it is proportional to the vividness of his shirts and ties. Nothing which Mr. Martin does is done only half-heartedly, and no DeVeaux student or Old Boy could deny that, throughout Mr. Ma.rtin's twenty-nine years at DeVeaux, he has always been devoted to the school.
