Foreword Today we stand on the threshold of destinv. Behind us lie many formative years, and before us lies the unknown. Our future may hold atomic cars, artificial climates, freedom from disease, and many other wonderful benefits of science: or it may hold death, destruction, and desolation. All we can sav about our future is that we will be prepared to meet it. On the following pages we have tried to summarile all that we have experienced. thought, and come to know here at DeVeaux. Primarily, we want to mention 'lim Bush, '56, and lid Funk, '58, for their invaluable services with the photography for this book. lf any name has been omitted from the list of patrons and advertisers, we regret that our schedule ol printing did not allow us to wait for the last responses.
