Classes Dedicated to . Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Figge It is with pleasure that we, the class of dedicate our yearbook to the Rev. and Nlrs. Frederick XV. Figge. Although the Figges have been here at De- Veaux for only two short years, we feel that we have come to know them quite well. They have contributed their time and talents on our behall as well as to the entire school. XVe shall always vividly remember the help the Figges have freely given to us in any of our dances and other social functions. Through Mr. Figge's able guidance forward strides have been made in the Student Council and in the Student Lounge. Improvements have been made which will have a positive effect lol years to come. His deep-hearted laugh has given us an indi- cation of his love ol' humor and its place in life. It has made an impression on all those with whom he has come in contactg whether it was in the classroom, on the soccer field, or from the pulpit in St. .Xmbrose Chapel. if 1' ' ,riff , 'Wind' In Appreciation of . Mr. Donald E. Loker YX'e, the class ol '55, wish to express our ap- preciation to Mr. Donald Loker who has worked so energetically, sparing neither his own personal time nor effort in his advisory capacity, on the photography and layout of our yearbook. YVe thank Mr. Loker and wish him many more years with his camera and continued success in the classroom. 4 'W ,, 5' . . '- ef' ,, A ' 'Q H. jf' .....,,,.n- ft 4 4, ' - , . Agn . Our future may hold atomic cars, artificial climates, freedom from disease, and many other wonderful benefits of science: or it may hold death, destruction, and desolation. All we can sav about our future is that we will be prepared to meet it. On the following pages we have tried to summarile all that we have experienced. thought, and come to know here at DeVeaux. Primarily, we want to mention 'lim Bush, '56, and lid Funk, '58, for their invaluable services with the photography for this book. lf any name has been omitted from the list of patrons and advertisers, we regret that our schedule ol printing did not allow us to wait for the last responses. XVe want to thank evervone for his financial assistance. Space did not permit us to identilv individuals under all of the photographsg those not so identified are listed on page 44. Finally. we wish to express our gratitude to DeVeaux School, the Masters and Staff, for all thev have done for us. Although we are anxious to leave and see what the future holds lor us, we shall alwavs iememisef imexfesux with gmtittitie.
