Freshman Control??! Freshman Class Officers: Nina Negro, Vice President; Moira Connolly, President; Lisa Chelenza, Treasurer; Stacey Marsteiner, Secretary The class of 1988 is truly a unique breed of newcomers to DeSales. Traditionally, Freshmen are in- timidated by the “older and wiser seniors,” and unquestioningly respect senior authority. This year, however, a larger and unruly Freshman class has wandered beyond the usual limits of underclassmen. They have been spotted in Senior homerooms, caught wandering through the senior hallway, and found lounging on the front steps, always an upperclassman privilege. Seniors have tried with some suc- cess to control this occasional “rude, crude, and socially unacceptable behavior.” However, the Freshmen have refused to give in to the pressures of being the newest addi- tion to the DeSales Family, and their spirit will guide them in their future high school years. Mr. Rickey is being attacked by Freshmen. Positive and negative Moira. 15
