The special part of the day began with each student participating in a chosen activity of bowling, ice- skating, computers, or listening to tunes, which seemed fun and successful. Following these activities was a pizza party in the gym. Father Jim Enright, Chaplain of Auburn Correctional Facility celebrated mass with us in the lunchroom. We returned to the gym to end the day with an “awards” assembly with Mickey Thorton as Master of Ceremonies. The cheerleaders performed their dance for the student body, and Mr. Tracey ended the assembly with an inspirational athletic speech. Mickey wins the big heart.
