As an American History teacher, a homeroom teacher, a coach, and a Blaze-off adviser, he brought life into our classes, spirit to our teams, humor to our Fridays, and a friendli- ness to all students. With an open mind he gave to us an outlook that was truly Christian and American. THE COACH 4 3n fHpmnriam JOHN M. TOOLE Class of '34 Author of Our ALMA MATER Oh faithful gold, oh loyal blue. Enshrine in us a love that's true, A love that lasts down the years Through all life's smiles and weary tears. So fine the gold, so pure the blue That binds our hearts, dear school, to you. We'll pledge to keep thy lessons dear; They'll be ours from year to year. To Alma Mater's voice be true; She's raised her hopes high up for you. Ne'er stand aghast with fear in heart, The blue and gold will hope impart. Dear old De Sales, we pledge to you. Under your banner, gold and blue, Shrine of our high school days so dear, To you we raise our voice in cheer. Let's give to God the best that's ours,- We've learned that law through heaven's powers Our future is for us a dream Wherein we'll meet our dear old pals And we'll see our colors gleam. 5 ADMINISTRATION Born in Buffalo, New York, Sister St. Andrew received her sec- ondary education at Mt.
