THE DE SALES CLASS OF ’66 GENEVA, NEW YORK presents THE SALESIAN STAFF EDITOR PATRICIA HURLEY ASSOCIATE EDITORS DOMINIC COMMESSO BARBARA CORCORAN PATRICK GUARD ROSEANNE PAULSEN JAMES RICKEY BUSINESS CATHERINE FOSPERO CONTENTS INTRODUCTION 4 FACULTY 6 SENIORS 12 JUNIORS 41 SOPHOMORES 56 FRESHMEN 72 ACTIVITIES 86 SPORTS 99 PATRONS 109 O this learning; what a thing it is! Taming of the Shrew 4 Learning is defined as knowledge or skill received by instruction or study. However, definitions are limited; the concept of learning covers a wider scope. It is a becoming aware of what we are and what is around us. Here at De Sales learning is not confined to the pages of a book. The education we receive encompasses our mental, physical, and spiritual capabilities and blends them so that they no longer are rigidly distinct but complement each other. Thus, we learn through religion, the why of man's existence on earth; through books what he has accom- plished; and through our everyday encounters with our parents, teachers, fellow students, and friends what his nature is. That is why we, the Senior Class, dedicate our 1966 Salesian to Learning, with the hope that this process begun in childhood and deep- ened at De Sales, will continue to grow in us throughout our life. 5 THE MOST REVEREND LAWRENCE B.
