PROGRESS VAI mAA JESS..-: IS a i 1 t That means not just to look hut to see — and not just to see, but to reach out and grasp. It is not a passive word. It takes something on itself. It wills to bear a burden. Some men can never know progress, because they do not know themselves . . . or God. Some men do know progress. They have looked within, seen the gift and turned in hunible acceptance to God. With eager, outstretched arms, they lift the weight they must carry. They go, to the very ends of the earth, to be neighbor to every man, to be responsible, to be missionaries. We dedicate Salesian '65 to Sister Michael Marya who chose to reave her country, her family, her community and her De Sales—to help the poor of Brazil toward progress.
