FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS Freshman Officers-left to right-Patricia O'Mal1ey, Secretary, Iohn Smead, President, Dorothy Lahr, Vice President, Donald Furano, Treasurer. TO THE FRESHMEN lntroibo ad altare Dei might Well be the words on your lips, dear Fresh- men, as you enter upon your high school career. The Mass is the center of life -of your entire life. In the Mass you praise and glorify God through His be- loved Son Jesus Christ. Every single thing you do each day at school must be sanctified, made holy, by the purity of the intention with which you begin your work. When you sit at your desk, you may well think of it as an Altar. Your pencils, books and papers-these are your Paten and Chalice. The work that you do at your desk-your studying and learning-this is your gift to God. Your little daily sorrows, your hours of enjoyment in your social life, your en- thusiasms and activities-these, too, are your offering. Give them all, every moment of every day, every duty, every pleasure, to God. Make your intention each day with the Priest at the beginning of Holy Mass and renew your offering as you take your place in your classrooms each morning. Thus, your Freshman year, will be not only a sanctified entering into high school life, but a blessed entering into all of life which is centered in Holy Mass and in the union of your heart with the Heart of Christ.
