. and Jlfliss CD31 Q. Ellyn Gagne Dedication and determination earned Ellyn the honored title of Miss DHS. Ellyn began her activities as a freshman by serving in Pilot Pack and Student Council. She also participated in the Science Fair and NEDT Testing Program. During her sophomore year, Ellyn began her service to the French Club holding the office of secretary and participated in the Science Fair once again. Ellyn's junior year continued to add extra activitiesg she became a member of the Beta Club, Drama Club, and Junior Civitan Club. In addition, she held several offices in the Junior Civitan Club. As a senior, Ellyn continued to serve her selected clubs and was further honored by being nominated to Who's Who Among American High School Students. She highlighted her honors by being chosen Miss DHS. 58fMr. and Miss DHS Mike Johnson Mike Johnson earned the name of Mr. DHS through his contribution and accomplishments to DeRidder High School. He began his service as a freshman by serving in the FCA, FFA, and 4-H Clubs. In addition, Mike took part in football, baseball, track, and cross country. As a sophomore, Mike was elected to become a member of the Key Club and attended the convention in Memphis, Tennessee. He also continued his participation in sports. During his junior year, Mike was chosen to serve as a member of the honorable Beta Club. Mike's hard work climaxed during his fourth year at DHS. He was elected treasurer of the Key Club and was chosen as Mr. DHS.
