Social Studies Fair A Big Success! The DeRidder High School 1978 Social Studies Fair was a success! There were numerous projects entered in many different fields of social studies. There were fourgroup winners and four individual winners. In the group category, C. J. Tanner and Kate Coyne placed firstg their project was on Suicide Is Final . Placing second was Mark Cosand and Kerri Gifford, third place went to Frank Brown and John Rittman, and fourth place was taken by Coach Danny Geroy's second hour class. In the individual project category, Telina Hines placed firstg her project was titled America's Rights . Lisa Young placed second, third place went to Jim Hunter and Tommy Hazelwood placed fourth. The first place winners will attend The Regional Social Studies Fair on March 19 and 20 at McNeese State University. C. J. and Kate won first place in group projects.
