Ambassadors in Blue have had a busy and successful year, They played at pep rallies, marched at half-time for all the varsity football games, performed at numerous band concerts and marching contests. The band traveled to LaGrange on October 28 to compete in the Eighth Annual Marching Band Festival. They received five superiors and one excellent in the ratings. Scott Crowe and Ricky Stveens were selected to participate in the all-state band and Brock Daniels will compete in the all-state orchestra. The band hosted the second annual Marching Contest held at D. H. S. for bands Class A or below. The contest was a great success! Honor Band tryouts were held January 6 at the McNeese auditorium in Lake Charlesg 31 members of the DeRidder band were selected to the district honor band. The Ambassadors in Blue traveled to Morgon City on February 27 to march in the Mardi Gras parade. They had a fantastic and busy year! 40 Band
